framework radio has become nomadic - we are moving our HQ, but it will
be some time before the new studio is ready, and in the meantime we're
spending a lot of time wandering the streets and looking for places to
put our laptops on our knees. as such, we've developed a new strategy
for delivering the show's commentary, and this week it comes to you from
alongside a fountain in the town of viljandi, a little giveaway as to
the general direction of our relocation. we've always liked the idea of
location-recorded commentary - it is a field recording show after all -
but some combination of difficulty/laziness/hurry has always prevented
it from manifesting. but they say necessity is the mother of
ok-ok-i'll-do-it, don't they?

this week, two vinyl releases (kate carr, miki yui), one cassette
(philip sulidae), and one cd (robert scott thompson - why does that last
one now seem like the most old fashioned of these formats?), all with
streamable digital versions with links below, along with new
listener-chosen favorites from the aporee soundmaps (also with direct
links), and an intro by regular contributor barry cullen that has been
waiting patiently since 2015 (!) i believe, although my
less-than-rock-solid filing methods may have got that mixed up.

again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material,
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
mail. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
