i rarely record my own framework intros - you hear enough of my voice as
it is, but this week i was presented with an irresistible opportunity,
as the wind whistled through my studio window, so you get a double dose
of me this week. aside from that, this week's show is somehow very
satisfying; we got to feature a load of recent releases we've really
been enjoying of late, from gruenrekorder's recent release sounds of
iceland by hafdís bjarnadóttir, to a new work on lp from an longtime
favorite, toy.bizarre. also some wonderful sounds from a woolen mill
released as a free download by cronica electronica, a series of live
performance recordings also available as a free download by richard
garet on his own contour editions imprint, and a further selection of
new and old uploads to the aporee soundmaps (including a few that i've
listed as 'anonymous', due them being uploaded without a used name, so
if they're yours, and you'd like your name added to the playlist, just
let me know!).
i also took the opportunity to remind you that framework500, our recent
fund-raising release in celebration of our 500th show, is still
available, and we are really looking to you, dear listeners, for
support. in short, we can't continue to do this without your support. i
think you like the show, so please show us by making a donation,
ordering one of out fund-raising releases showcasing so many amazing
