#384: 2012.07.22

this is our last regular edition before our usual summer break - we'll
be taking the month of august off from new programming, but of course
we'll be lining up shows from the archives to fill in while we're away,
so you won't be left soundless. there will be one more new edition of
framework:afield, next week, produced by regular contributor france
jobin, and then we'll be back with new programming in september, along
with news about our next edition of framework:seasonal!

as we mentioned in the program, july 18th was the 3rd annual world
listening day, and we wanted to draw your attention to some of the
projects that took place. regular framework collaborators radio aporee
created a dedicated WLD2012 project map, where you can upload any sound
recorded on that day, or explore the day's sonic snapshot. it can be
found here:

http://aporee.org/maps/projects/worldlisteningday2012

world listening day was started by the world listening project. links to
other WLD projects for this and past years, and their work in general,
can be found here:

http://www.worldlisteningproject.org

this was a dense edition featuring some great new(ish) sounds, including
a new murmer release out this month on jim haynes' helen scarsdale
agency - i tend not to play my own music too much on framework, but i
don't release new solo work that often, so i'm giving it some space
here. also self-released sounds by australian artist lizzie pogson,
polish artist adrian kolarczyk and american tom mansell. and a release,
digital and physical, by glenn bach on brian lavelle's dust, unsettled
label from scotland.

again, we are always looking for material for the show, whether raw
field-recordings, field-recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material,
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
mail. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
