[microsound] noisy hard drive on mac

hi,
not much as i have a drive dedicated to time machine,
i back up on a server as well as dvd for small projects.
this would be strictly for music.
thanks again for everyone's input,
tips and links, it is very useful
as i am in unknown territory.
