[microsound] software to 'clean' sound

hi eva,

for isolating a cricket in a recording i used a FFT crossover patch in  
max/msp as a radicalised filter so to speak, to isolate frequency bands.
since the sound is so high i cut away everything below 5kHz, which is  
pretty much everything except the cricket. let me know if you are  
interested in this.
