this became a long, long playlist somewhere along the line, with 19 
works by 12 artists - and we even forgot to use the tracks we'd selected 
from the aporee soundmaps! we began with another quarantine-edition 
framework introduction, this one recorded in coastal india by an old 
friend of the program, michael northam. we also took a listen to an 
album made using the sounds of an antique hearing test (you know the 
ones - raise your hand when you hear a sound - that kind of thing) by 
danish artist sandra boss; the most recent release of kristina kubisch's 
electromagnetics (with voices this time); compositions made with field 
recordings recorded in chengdu, china my emmanuel mieville; domestic 
sound sources from poland by a new artist for us, hagith; a few more 
contributions to the amplify 2020 online festival; and a compilation of 
field recording-related works curated in the uk by nick luscombe 
(including our local friend, the great estonian accordion player 
tuulikki bartosik!).

and a couple more announcements: this is edition #716. next week will be 
our latest edition of framework:afield (our series of guest-produced 
programs), but the week after that, #718, our next regular edition, will 
be our 18th birthday! that's right, framework will be old enough to 
drink! framework #001 aired from the resonance fm studio on denmark st 
in central london on june 14th, 2002. we can't believe we're still here, 
and you probably can't either, but we'll be raising a glass (to our ear, 
to listen to the bubbles, of course) and we hope you will too.

and what better way to wish framework a happy birthday than by heading 
over to our bandcamp page this coming friday to take advantage of 
bandcamp's latest no-fee friday, where they periodically wave all 
platform fees to help support artists during the current difficult 
economic climate. we'll have a special full-discography discount
