*#321: 2011.03.06
*
greetings from northern portugal, where we're just coming to the end of
our participation in the */paivascapes/* festival, organised by*binaural
media* in nodar: http://www.paivascapes.org/en. it's been a great week
here, with a wonderful exhibition and a number of great performances,
from *jez riley-french*, *rui costa*, *ignaz schick*, *o.blaat* with
*katherine liberovskaya*, our own *revenant:paiva* project, and many
more. there will be a catalog and cd published eventually; in the
meantime i'll be working on convincing someone here to produce a
*paivascapes* themed edition of /*framework:afield*/ for me...

this week's show features some long-waiting favorites: *eric la casa*'s
exquisite collaboration with *seijiro murayama* (who we'll hopefully be
bringing to estonia later in the year) along with *jim haynes* (who's
already been to estonia, and in fact recorded much of this disc's source
material there) no-longer-new release on *intransitive*. also extremely
deconstructed sound from *helena gough*, field recording and
instrumental improv from *daniel barbiero* and friends (freely
downloadable from archive.org), and locational sound interpretations
from *steve barsotti*.

again, we are always looking for material for the show, whether raw
field recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated /*framework:afield*/ series. send proposals or
material, released or not, on any format, to the address below. if you
have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
