                greetings from northern portugal, where we're just
                coming to the end of our participation in the <b><i>paivascapes</i></b>

                it's been a great week here, with a wonderful exhibition
                and a number of great performances, from <b>jez
                  riley-french</b>, <b>rui costa</b>, <b>ignaz schick</b>,
                <b>o.blaat</b> with <b>katherine liberovskaya</b>, our
                own <b>revenant:paiva</b> project, and many more. there
                will be a catalog and cd published eventually; in the
                meantime i'll be working on convincing someone here to
                produce a <b>paivascapes</b> themed edition of <i><b>framework:afield</b></i>
                for me...<br>

                this week's show features some long-waiting favorites: <b>eric


                  la casa</b>'s exquisite collaboration with <b>seijiro
                  murayama</b> (who we'll hopefully be bringing to
                estonia later in the year) along with <b>jim haynes</b>
                (who's already been to estonia, and in fact recorded
                much of this disc's source material there) no-longer-new
                release on <b>intransitive</b>.  also extremely
                deconstructed sound from <b>helena gough</b>, field
                recording and instrumental improv from <b>daniel
                  barbiero</b> and friends (freely downloadable from
                archive.org), and locational sound interpretations from
                <b>steve barsotti</b>.<br>
