Hi all,

I'm pleased to announce a new mp3 work released under the Archive moniker.
Entitled "Silent Night (Shepherds Quake)", it's available for free
download now from Dark Winter:

http://www.darkwinter.com

This is a twenty-minute piece derived entirely from a brief recording of a
music box playing "Silent Night". The machine winds down; it creaks and
grinds and eventually the audio is overtaken by scrambled reiterations of
itself; it stretches and slows, speeds and warps, chimes and clangs,
sprinkles, stutters, sputters, and melts, till eventually all that's left
is a glassy ghost of its former self.

I've subtitled the piece "Shepherds Quake" to commemorate the fact that
even on the first Christmas, people in the service industry had to work.
Whatever religion you are, and especially if you're of no religion at all,
I hope you at least get the day off this year.

Enjoy!

Peas on Earth,
Mike Hallenbeck
