framework - phonography/field recording; contextual and decontextualized sound activity
presented by patrick mcginley

so, folks, as of tonight framework will be entering that most ubiquitous of things, the summer repeat schedule! my own schedule and upcoming travels have made this a necessity - the first break framework has had in it's 3 year history! i must say i am pleased to be able to give another airing to the selected programs, which are all framework:focus editions from the last year, starting with earlier editions and working up to a repeat of aaron ximm's fine one minute vacations program in late august. i will send out playlists as usual repeating the schedule information and reprinting the program info from the program's original mailout. please, however, don't stop sending material for airplay! i will still be collecting submissions and intro submissions for the resumption of normal broadcasting as of the 26th of august!

and let me also explain where i will be during this time: i leave shortly for a trip home to the states, where i will be playing my first ever u.s. gigs. these will be happening on the 16th of july in boston, the 23rd of july in new york city, and the 30th of july in portland, maine. if you are in any of these places, please come along and say hello! soon after that i will be departing for the PostsovkhoZ5 festival at moks in tartu, estonia, where i will be creating a new sound installation around the festival's theme for 2005, public/private. again, if you are nearby (slightly less likely), please drop in! you can find detailed info on all these activities on my website, http://www.murmerings.com.

again, we are always looking for material for the show, whether raw field recordings, field recording based composition or introduction submissions. send material, released or not, on any format, to the address below. we are also hoping to have live performances as often as possible, so if you are in or passing through london please get in touch!
