#700! 2020.02.09

patreon campaign progress report:

well folks, here we are: 17 years, 7 months, 3 weeks, and 5 days after
our very first broadcast, we are airing our 700th radio show featuring
the finest new and archival works from within the field recording
community. 700 shows! that a lot.

we started this edition off with a special framework introduction
featuring recordings made for the occasion by several contributors:
justin lazar, anders bibow olsen, kassia flux, and tomasz pizio all
recorded full framework700 intros for us, while anders, christin
wansner, masayo nishida (recorded by christopher olson), and krista
dorchies also recorded the phrase '700' for us in their native tongues
(norwegian, hindi, japanese, and french). i edited these contributions
into a sort of frankenstein's intro for your listening pleasure.

this celebratory show marks an occasion for me to clear my throat and
say, ahem, yes, 700 shows is a lot, and if you've enjoyed even a
fraction of them, maybe now would be the time to consider becoming a
framework supporter? you can sign up via patreon
(http://www.patreon.com/frameworkradio) to support us with as little as
$1 per month, and as i always say, if every listener would do that, we
could simply stop asking. i said on the air that then we could make 7000
more shows, although i quickly realised that at this rate that would
take approximately 180 years - but hey, who's counting?

this landmark also coincides with resonance fm's annual fundraiser -
including their fundraiser auction and series of live events in london.
for this year's auction we are providing a full downloadable framework
editions discography, through our bandcamp page
(http://frameworkeditions.bandcamp.com) - everything we've ever
released, including the long-out of print framework250, with a low
opening bid of only £40! so if you've been wanting to check our releases
out, and you'd like to support resonance fm to boot, check out the
auction, including our framework editions bundle, here (there's lots of
other great stuff too):

again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material,
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
mail. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
