SIGHT & SOUND FESTIVAL: KICKSTARTER PROJECT

Sight & Sound is an annual festival aimed at bringing together Canadian and international New Media artists. The festival, currently in its third year, showcases the effort of sound and video artists. This year’s festival programming includes more than twenty installations, performances and events, created by artists from Quebec, Canada, Europe and Asia.

The Canada Council for the Arts, which has funded this project in years past, unfortunately denied funding for the festival this year. While not the sole source of funding, the Canada Council for the Arts represented a large portion of the festivals financing.

FESTIVAL SON & VUE: PROJET KICKSTARTER

Son & Vue est un festival annuel qui rassemble chaque année le travail d'artistes en nouveaux médias québécois, canadiens et internationaux. Présentement dans sa troisième année, le festival met en vedette le travail d'artistes audio et vidéo, et cette année, le festival compte plus d'une vingtaine d'oeuvres, performances et événements créés par des artistes québécois, canadiens et européens.

Le Conseil des arts du Canada, qui assurait une partie du financement de ce projet par le passé, a malheureusement a refusé de financer le festival cette année. Bien que cette instance ne soit pas la unique source de financement pour le festival, elle en représentait une importante portion.
