Expo Brighton
[http://expofestival.org]
Sonic Arts Network and RadioReverb 97.2FM present Expo Brighton, the UK's
largest weekend of free sound art and experimental music, which will take
place on 4-6 July 2008 in venues and spaces across Brighton.

Featuring Stephan Mathieu & Aleks Kolkowski, John Wall, DJ Scotch Egg, Blood
Stereo & Ludo Mich plus the best emerging artists back-to-back with some of
the leading figures in UK sonic art playing things you've never heard before
(and maybe never will again).

Newly commissioned work this year comes from Duncan Whitley whose "Sussex By
The Sea" is a multichannel audio documentary of the songs and chants of
Brighton and Hove Albion fans; Ian Helliwell, who is curating an improvised
audio performance to accompany the filmic gems he is currently unearthin
from the extensive vaults of the South East Film & Video Archive and "The
Fantastical Reality Radio Show" created by Felicity Ford and Mundane
Appreciation - a series of radio shows celebrating the beauty of everyday
sounds and ordinary audio. See www.fantasticalreality.com for the latest on
the show and to get involved.

Expo is three days and nights of people enjoying, playing, discovering and
listening to sonic art. Experience a wiki-conference, a radiophonic
intervention in the Royal Pavilion Gardens, installations and performances,
shopping centre public art, club nights and film screenings across the
streets, buildings and air waves of Brighton.

A full programme will be announced on the Expo website soon.

Expo Unconference
[http://unconference.expofestival.org]
A wiki-conference to discuss ideas that intersect with sound art and
experimental music. You can decide what's discussed, what isn't, where and
when. It begins online and will culminate in a real-world event at the Expo
festival on 4 July 2008 at the University of Brighton.
