CDZabu vs. VoxNovus
The New Voice of Chromatic Disgruntlement


this is a collaboration i was involved with featuring CDZabu [montreal based
electronic] and Vox Novus [contemporary classical from NYC]. i got involved
through the VoxNovus 60x60 project, but enjoyed working with all the
participants [even ended up joining CDZabu].

anyway, i worked on 4 pieces in the collection:

[1] vogel's private hell 
[5] dr. turbano
[11] better late than never
[13] do you dream in black and white?

i limited my contribution on each track to one instrument. it seemed
appropriate to the project. so i played soprano recorder on [1], theremin [5],
midi drums and environmental sound [11], and electronic organ [13].

the last part of the project was mixing the tracks. with track 11, i was the
initiator of the track and the final mix was unsatisfying to me. i had a
different idea of how the parts should combine. so i remixed it, and my remix
is the selection available for download on my website [since it is a
different version of what is on theCDZabu site].
