Brad,

   You might want to try making an ISO of the disc as it will make multiple
attempts to read bad sectors if that is the problem. One particular package
Isobuster that I have not used I hear will read the disc at a slower speed.
If you know the speed the disc was burned at it may beable helpful to read
it at that speed.
