Subject: [microsound] The Elementary Signal Engine (ESE)

I am in the stages of putting the UI together for the instrument I have
been working on for a number of years.

It is a particle formant synthesis composition environment I mention in the
Vague Terrain Microsound edition some years ago.

The Wavehole engine is now fairly sophisticated and gives a lot of scope to
composers for organising synthesised sound particles over time.

The ESE will be free and hopefully released in the new year.

i am in moscow until december 20th and thought i would check in to see if anyone on the list could point me to some interesting sound/music events etc.

just saw VTOL at Laboratoria Art and Science Space, speaking about his Cryophone instrument, and plan to meet Andrey Smirnov to hopefully have a look at some vintage Soviet synths while I am here.

primary focus of the visit is to explore audiovisual performance culture here... VJing, Live Media/Live Cinema, and the associated sound practices and DIY interface building that goes along with this.
