I don't understand what you need, you need something like a metro that checks out the time of every "question" (meaning the piano part) ?

Oggetto: [microsound] how to natate MIDIpart of Piano and Disklavier composition

Hello

i am doing a revised edit of jean-Claude Risset's Duo for one Pianist. This is a piece for pianist and Disklavier answering (the piano and disklavier are on the same instrument). Now, in the original handwritten score, the Disklavier's art was limited to the first notes of theanswer. In the updated version, made in Finale, I would like to get the whole MIDI part written out. Now, I know how to create this answer: simply let run the MIDI version of the pianist part and let MaxMSP create the answer but: the Disklavier's answers starts for example half a second later, not 2 beats. Hence, what is a simple triplet in the pianists part becomes a quite complicated figure in the Disklavier's part. As such I was thinking of using an offset so that the answer of the Disklavier starts at t= 0 and the part is indented. Does anyone have thoughts on how to do this in a good way?

Thanks
Samuel Van Ransbeeck
