I take it you used the bubble chamber photo to control the processing of a
chorus? Did you have the white particle path as the control? Or the whole
of the image for processing? I've never gone indepth with Metasynth, so am
curious about your process.

Hello Boris and thank you for the interest.

The image is scanned from right to left, vertically, and each pixel is then passed through a synthesizer. In this case the synthesizer outputs some human phones. 

Also I added a bit of reverb to each pixel since the chorus  effect is amplified and more lively (human like).

The output is in stereo.

Octaves mapping of frequencies alter the sonification of the image. 

If your curves can parametrize along x-axis or y-axis e.g. y(x) = f(x) then this method gives you the same as trekking along the white curves in the photo. If not, then this method gives you general sonification for any data. 

But in scientific data, other than the statistical curves, data is not as simple as such parametrize curves.

Audible range of the waves emitted by function generators type KZ 1046 0.0005 Hz-100 kHz, produced in the 80's by the Polish Institute and Scientific Equipment Manufacturing -Zopan was used to create sound on these CD?s. The starting material is as simple as a sine wave, rectangle, sawtooth wave, only occasionally used depending on amplitude modulation AM and FM frequencies forming a small variation between the clear signals arranged in small distances, eg: 
SIN SQ 105 TR 101 107 
Module AM and FM: 
KZ 1406/1 F M 152.7 Hz sine-> 70.3 Hz sawtooth 
KZ 1406/2 A M 120.6 Hz square -> 62.5 Hz square 
Study of dependence between simple tones emphasizes the basic assumptions about the sound generated and refers to the first experiments on the conversion of electric waves audible sounds. All pieces were recorded live, during the session in which five device type Zopan KZ were used in real-time.
