[microsound] looking for a laserish sound

A piezo transducer on a very long tight wire or cable will give it to 
you. So will a "slinky" stretched and plunked.
Here is an example from an amplifiied slinky embedded in a sculpture:

You would probably not be so interested in all of the lo freq stuff 
associated with that one but that is what filters are for.
