Rhiz is a good place for gigs, Fluc is also ok. Good records stores are 
Substance and Rave Up.
For museums check out Museumsquartier, there's a lot going on.
For other venues and events check www.falter.at and the magazine Falter 
- everything's listed there.
Let me know when you're there, I'm often in Vienna too, so we can meet 
up for a coffee.
