[microsound] homebuilt sample player (was: why i'm not excited about Live)

It has a little. Sample quality is pretty low, which minimizes storage space
requirements somewhat. The cool part is the addressable memory, which is
what makes it so easy to make the button board work with it. (see second
video on the page)

I suppose there's no reason you couldn't build more than one of these things
and have them sitting side by side, in order to "expand" your storage.
