[microsound] Rhys Chatham

I'm going to attend the performance 'Secret Rose' by Rhys Chatham, with
sounds generated by 100 electric guitars and a couple of other analogic
instruments.
what do you think of this kind of initiatives? can you help me tracing some
links to find a context for this work?
