This Friday 3rd February in K77

EXPERIMENTAL ANIMATION & MUSIK 2012

The first in a new monthly series of oculo-aural events at K77 Kino co-curated by sciolist (Salon Bruit | http://salonbruit.org/) and Julian Bonequi ( Audition Records | http://auditionrecords.com/ ).

The series will present a selection of radical animators projections such as live animation, animated scores, live illustration and computer animation. Accompanying this will be an acoustic experimental sound performance. This month, in an allegory of global fiscal solidarity, we present:

BEST BEFORE UNU (GR) Antonis Anissegos (unu) / Andreas Karaoulanis (bestbefore) - live electronics and realtime animation
http://vimeo.com/channels/bestbeforeunu

"The intensive electronics of unu found a visual counterpoint in the moving images of bestbefore, generating complex sonic-visual formations. While audio frequencies are analyzed and passed into image motions, which in turn feed back to the music, a never ending circulation of influence travels in both directions."

and

HANNES LINGENS (DE)- drums and objects
http://hanneslingens.de/

"Hannes Lingens is an improvisor/composer on drums and accordion. Born in Hamburg in 1980, he studied drums with Michael Griener and Guenter Baby Sommer in Dresden before moving to Berlin in 2006. His interest in various forms of exploratory music gave him the opportunity to work with such diverse artists as Tetuzi Akiyama, Sven-Åke Johansson, Christof Kurzmann, Olaf Rupp and Matthias Schubert. Ongoing collaborations include the groups OBLIQ, Hop Frog, Schulbus, as well as a duo with Pierre Borel (sax). In 2009 he co-founded the collective Umlaut Berlin which curates an annual Festival for contemporary and experimental music and is part of the international label and network Umlaut Records. The Umlaut Festival Berlin 2012 is going to be held in Ausland and Ballhaus Ost 16-19 February."
