Today, 22.6.2011 we will see the opening of an ambitious new project in an incredible location: The <strong><a href="http://www.mediaopera.org/archives/56">MEDIA OPERA</a></strong>, located at the former viennese <a href="http://www.wien.gv.at/stadtentwicklung/projekte/zielgebiete/erdbergermais/teilgebiete/stmarx/rinderhalle.html" target="_blank">cattle hall (Rinderhalle) of St. Marx, built between 1878 - 1898</a> - Vienna's first low-carbon steel construction, and a designated historic monument since 1997.<br />
<br />
So where's the connection to (Klub) Moozak, you might ask. It's simple: In september the Media Opera will host a <strong>2 day MOOZAK festival</strong>, right in time for our 4-year birthday, so don't miss this event at this incredible location.<br />
Until then Klub Moozak will be in summer vacation mode from now on - but KLUB MOOZAK will return:<br />

<p class="style1">Poma is a project by catalan composer Paco Jordi born from the idea of using free improvisation within a composed context. Thus, the musicians immerse themselves in improvisation which occurs within pre-established structures or even together with previously composed music. The essential principle being to set as few restrictions as possible on the performers.<br />
<br />
Paco Jordi was born in Girona (Spain) in 1981. He is a composer and guitarist, who has played guitar with pop rock bands like Brazzaville (with David Brown- Beck’s ex-sax player) and Holland Park amongst others. He studied guitar and trombone at the Barcelona Conservatory and composition with the renowned Catalan composer Albert Llanas. He has composed for string orchestra, solo instruments and chamber music. His “Piece for 12 strings” was one of the three works selected in the composition contest “Sincronic” organised by Phonos Foundation.<br />
