<div><font size="-1">Alexis O'Hara is an interdisciplinary artist
whose work was nurtured</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">in the lively cabaret & avant-noise scenes in
Montreal. Sampling and</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">processing her voice in real-time, using lo-tech
electronics and the</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">chimerical properties of electrical feedback, she
creates live performances</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">that combine electro-acoustic maximalism and
psychedelic story telling.</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">With improvisation she explores the possibilities
of error and failure,</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">circumstances in which the spectator is refocused
with present-minded</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">awareness. The eclecticism of her work attracts
international programmers</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">from various disciplines from spoken word and
sound art to live art and music.</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">Alexis has been known to wear clothes that run on
batteries.</font></div>

<div>INVISIBLE BEES</div>
<div><font size="-1">Invisible bees are a primitive-psych-folk-duo
'united in their aim to send</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">time out of joint'. Their sound is 'darkly
hypnotic-droney-buzzy with</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">primitive saz-warm accordion swell, minimal
guitar motifs-strummed</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">violin-tolling bells-bowed metal and devotional
vocals'. The Bees'</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">Damian Burgess and Norwegian Elin Eriksen are
both London-based,</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">but originally from Manchester and Oslo
respectively, and list Black</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">Sabbath, Harry Partch, Sonic Youth, Philip K
Dick, The Melvins, Neil</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">Young, Derek Bailey, Tarkovsky, Henry Flynt and
Beefheart amongst</font></div>

Furness, primarily a sound</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">designer, who has run workshops with the Sonic

<div><font size="-1">their Sonic Postcard project) and Cineclub. As
well as also being a radio</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">producer (for Horse Hospital Radio on Resonance
FM), Furness is involved</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">with other collaborative projects such as Naked
With Horses, and Daydream</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">Nation. Wearing bizarre outfits and making a
strange noise, the Nine Owls are</font></div>
