[F] D'abord publiée en français en avril 2007,
l'édition 9.3 de eContact! a été récemment traduite vers
l'anglais. Une occasion de revisiter ou de compléter votre tour
d'horizon de cette publication substantielle, d'une grande importance
pour la communauté électroacoustique dans son ensemble.<br>

La présente série d'articles vise à faire suite à «La
pratique du mastering en électroacoustique», publié fin 2002. La
pratique en question étant à l'époque dans un état
embryonnaire, ce premier document visait essentiellement à informer
les électroacousticiens de la réalité du mastering, et à les
convaincre de l'urgence d'aller vers une certaine professionnalisation
de leur méthodes de production. De ce point de vue, la démarche
n'aura pas été inutile, puisqu'il s'avère aujourd'hui
nécessaire, près de cinq ans après, de présenter un «état
des lieux» des rapports, maintenant bien concrets, entre
électroacoustique et mastering. Quels sont donc les éléments
nouveaux qui justifient cette démarche aujourd'hui?<br>

translated and is now a completely bilingual issue. We invite you to
return to this issue to either catch up on articles you haven't read
yet, or simply for a re-reading of this substantial issue of great
value to the larger electroacoustic community.<br>
<br>
The present set of articles intends to follow up on the paper
"Mastering in Electroacoustics," published in 2002. As the
practice of mastering in the field of electroacoustics was still in an
embryonic state at the time, this initial document aimed both to
inform electroacousticians of the realities of mastering and to
convince them of the urgent need to adopt a certain professionalism in
their production methods. From this point of view, this inaugural step
was clearly pertinent: it has proven necessary today to present,
almost five years later, an overview or "state of affairs"
of the now relatively concrete relations between electroacoustics and
mastering. What aspects of the contemporary situation in fact
constitute justification for such a project?</font></div>
