tesla in berlin (d) presents

scheitern lernen | het leren mislukken | to learn to fail

hommage to dick raaijmakers. since the nineteen-fifties the work of dutch electronic music pioneer dick raaijmakers has been an inspiration to artists, theater makers, composers and musicians. many of them share a fascination with the often unpredictable results of unsolvable problems. "to fail" no longer means, not to get what you wanted but to get something that you didn't want, because it is no longer relevant or possible to aim for a specific result. for three days artist colleagues, friends and students of dick raaijmakers will present works with a tendency to the impossible and the unpredictable at tesla in berlin.

an accompanying exhibition will highlight selected aspects of the extensive body of work by dick raaijmakers. the exhibition will contain TV documentaries, photo- and audio materials, and it will be shown in the tesla foyer during the whole month of november.
