<div><font size="-1">Accomplished bay-area guitarist and multimedia
artist Christopher Willits<br>
records for the Ghostly International, 12k, Sub Rosa and Plop
labels.<br>
Applying a custom-made spectrum of signal processing to his guitars,
Willits<br>
has earned consistent praise for his fluid compositions and complex
textures,<br>
as well as his technologically innovative spirit. His work
ranges from sweet<br>
avant-pop songs to cerebral glitch experimentation to the full-on
noise attacks</font></div>
<div><font size="-1">of Fl–ssin, for which he has collaborated with
Kid606, Matmos and Zach Hill (Hella).<br>
Having earned his Masterís degree in Electronic Music working
alongside the likes<br>
of Fred Frith and Pauline Oliveros, Willits has become part of the
vanguard of<br>
modern electronic music. A frequent collaborator, Willits has
recently worked<br>
with Taylor Deupree (12k), Latrice Barnett (Solo, Handsome Boy
Modeling<br>
School), Paul D'Amour (Tool, Feersum Ennjin), and Ryuichi Sakamoto
(Sony).<br>
Willits is also the founder of Overlap.org, a lens, meeting point, and
distribution<br>
node for multimedia artists around the world. Through this outlet he
directs<br>
regular events in the northern California music community like the
OVERLAP<br>
and the LISTEN music series, showcasing a wide diversity of
multimedia</font></div>
