<P class=Estilo9>Nuevo disco a cargo del artista digital Mitchell Akiyama, el más ambicioso de su carrera (si este apelativo cabe en el mundo de la música experimental) tras 3 trabajos publicados desde su Canadá natal, su primera referencia en el exquisito sello belga Sub Rosa. Basando sus composiciones en exploraciones de instrumentos tradicionales como la guitarra o el piano, Akiyama las altera, destruye y re-estructura a través de su laptop buscando siempre un acercamiento emocional al sonido partiendo de las diferentes texturas que lo componen</P>

<P class=Estilo9>Sub Rosa ha editado también recientemente el “Aerial Volume 1” de Tod Dockstader, artista que viene trabajando desde los años 60 en el campo de la música concreta, en la linea de las principales figuras del género en Europa (Pierre Schaeffer, Pierre Henry, Karlheinz Stockhausen, Edgar Varese), aunque en su caso desde los Estados Unidos. Este es el primer trabajo de una serie de tres (que se irán presentando en el sello belga), que utiliza la radio como instrumento e introduce sus grabaciones en el campo de lo digital por primera vez</P>

El evento tendrá lugar este miércoles, 25 de mayo, en el marco del auditorio de La Casa Encendida. Los dos artistas, junto a Richard Chartier, estarán presentes el jueves por la noche en el Bar Radar, con Kenneth Kirschner ofreciendo una sesión especial que incluirá las últimas novedades del sello 12k. Incluyendo este “Post_Piano 2”, que se encuentra en algún lugar entre el minimalismo digital y la composición experimental para piano</P>

<P class=Estilo9>Cerramos la sesión de esta semana con otro destacado exponente del “hazlo tú mismo”, el japonés Koji Asano, que graba, edita, pone portada e incluso publica sus propios trabajos, a través de la etiqueta Solstice. Su 37ª referencia es una colección de piezas cortas grabadas en Japón en 1997 con un grupo que consta de guitarra, teclado y percusión. El artista japonés ha estado tan activo viajando y componiendo los últimos años que hasta ahora no le había llegado el momento a esta grabación, titulada en conjunto “Takoyakinun”</P>
<P class=Estilo9>Koji Asano is a notable exponent of the “do it yourself” idea, recording, editing, designing and even releasing his own works, through his Solstice label. His 37th reference is a collection of short pieces recorded in Japan in 1997 in a band context, including guitar, keyboards and percussion.
