london label <STRONG>authorised version</STRONG> entitled <STRONG><EM>^observer
drift</EM></STRONG>, a 2cd compilation consisting entirely of untreated field
recordings from a well dispersed collection of artists. the likes of
<STRONG>francisco lopez</STRONG>, <STRONG>janek schaefer</STRONG>,<STRONG>
leafcutter john</STRONG>, <STRONG>frans de waard</STRONG> and <STRONG>dave
phillips</STRONG> bring us distant american thunderstorms, the minutiae of
insect larvae, and the chilling freezing of microphones. we heard a solid
60 minute soundscape constructed from these recordings, with a brief interlude
of explanation on the project's background. </FONT></DIV>
