spring is springing here - the birch sap is flowing, the snow is almost 
entirely gone, and birds are returning. so this show has an element of 
'waking up' to it we think, whether consciously or unconsciously. we are 
listening to several tracks from the 'perfection of understanding' 
compilation, a co-publication between the aural detritus label and the 
ceramic house in the uk, as part of their interbeing project, a 
collaborative exploration of ceramic and sound art practice between the 
uk and china (curated by joseph young and kay aplin). for more on the

we are also exploring dave phillips' latest collection of recordings of 
his favorite insects, some meditative sounds from dorian wood, recent 
offerings from manja ristić and pablo diserens, and of course our latest 
batch of listener-chosen favorites from the aporee soundmaps. all begun 
with a framework introduction recorded for us by regular contributor 
barry cullen.

again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field 
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction 
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of 
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material, 
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
