HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO US! framework radio, amazingly, is now old enough to
drink - this sunday, june 14th, we turned 18 years old. we've come a
long way since we first walked into resonance fm's london studios on
june 14th, 2002, with our co-host joel stern, and a handful of obscure
cds. you can have a listen to our embarrassing first wobbly steps here:

http://www.frameworkradio.net/2002/06/001-2002-06-14/

and look at us now! 718 episodes under our (expanding) belt, a much
sorer back, a remote studio in the estonian countryside sending the show
out to 14 radio stations in 8 countries on 3 continents, contributors
all over the world - we couldn't be prouder. want to wish us a happy
birthday? drop us an email, or post a note to our facebook page! want to
give us a birthday present? sign up to be a patreon patron, buy
something from our bandcamp page, or just tell your friends about your
favorite radio show!

and speaking of our bandcamp page, we have another announcement: this
coming friday, june 19th (Juneteenth, 2020), bandcamp has announced that
it will be donating 100% of it's revenue share from artist sales to the
NAACP legal defence fund, in support of the ongoing protests in america
and around the world against racism and police brutality. in response to
this initiative, we will also be donating 100% of our sales revenue that
day to the same fund, from midnight to midnight west-coast u.s. pacific
time.

so go on over to http://frameworkeditions.bandcamp.com on friday and
make some purchases, and 100% of the revenue generated will go to the
NAACP legal defence fund, because Black lives matter.

for our 18th birthday show, sounds by saša spačal in collaboration
with crickets acheta domesticus; more lockdown sounds, this time from
cahru mistry and judith hamann; sounds of icebergs by rod stasick;
belgian pondlife by peter wullen; the latest electroacousitc work by
marco dibeltulu; recent listener-chosen favorites from the aporee
soundmaps; and a hygenic framework introduction by richard bentley.

again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material,
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
mail. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
