this edition of framework:afield, entitled women in the field, has been
produced in the uk by jilliene sellner. for more information on her
work, see http://www.jillienesellner.com. producer’s notes:

"Women in the Field is a brief exploration of the experience of females
who practice field recording. I’m certain there is much more to be said
on the subject particularly from those outside of Europe and North
America, who do not identify as cis and/or identify as a person of
colour and so on than the contents of this episode. This is just a
starting point. I am extremely grateful for the contributions from the
artists.

"British born Canadian composer and sound theorist Andra McCartney sadly
passed away in October 2019. The episode, which includes a reading of a
paper co-authored by McCartney, was produced just days prior to her
passing and is dedicated to her memory and her decades of work on the
experience of listening." - jilliene sellner, october 2019

again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material,
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
mail. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
