#641: 2018.05.13 [vortichez]
listen to this edition here:
http://www.frameworkradio.net/2018/05/641-2018-05-13/

our big announcement this week: we have launched the framework bandcamp
page! our goal is to eventually have all of the framework editions
releases up there for streaming and download, especially as the physical
releases drop out of availability (which they will soon, as we're
running out of sleeves, and won't be ordering more). but that's a big
job (we need permission from all the participating artists), so we're
starting our slowly, with so far just our most recent and our least
recent releases: framework:seasonal #9, featuring 3 long works by jonáš
gruska, bird and renoult, and fintan o'brien; and framework250, our
first releases, from 2009, in celebration of our 250th show (note the
number now: 641!). framework250 was a 4-disc tour de force, featuring
over 5 hours of sounds from almost 40 artists, and it's been completely
unavailable in any form for several years. so go and have a browse and a
listen, and if you like what you hear, give some love (and money) to
framework and download it!

this week's edition of framework:afield has been produced in tashkent,
uzbekistan by vortichez. for more sounds see

-----

framework:afield: Deep Listening 2018

Field recordings and field recording based sound art of recently
certified teachers in the late Pauline Oliveros’ Deep Listening®
practice, presented by sound artist Vortichez.

For more information about Deep Listening join the FaceBook Group: The
Center for Deep Listening at Rensselaer.

Artwork by fellow new Deep Listening certificate holder Gwyneth
Anderson, inspired by the sounds from the show: Internal facade
of Umayyad Mosque of Aleppo drawn in violets.

again, we are always looking for new material, whether raw field
recordings, field recording based composition, or introduction
submissions. we are also now accepting proposals for full editions of
our guest curated framework:afield series. send proposals or material,
released or not, on any format, to the address at the bottom of this
mail. if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to get in touch!
