Think about Beverly Hills and you probably think of wealth, privilege,  
the entertainment industry, or even shallowness; but sculptor and  
field recordist Scott Sherk has found depth in the neighborhood's many  
private water fountains. Untreated and presented as a single track  
with abrupt splices rather than smooth crossfades, the recordings take  
on a sonic sculptural structure that leads the listener through three  
and four dimensional spaces, ultimately presenting (as Sherk states in  
his liner notes) "the sound of money".

Sherk's release is also showing as an audio installation at Audio  
Visual Arts in New York from January 15 - February 5, 2010. Details
