[Microsound-announce] [Montreal] genetic laptop orchestra + Kim Cascone at SAT, July 2nd

Hello, microsounders

for three days sound artists/researchers from all corners of the 
Montreal
island will converge on the new McGill music building (beautiful new 
structure
on Sherbrooke st.) to take part in an intensive workshop given by Kim 
Cascone
on the generation/emergence of audio content via the model of a genetic 
algorithm.
The sonic artifacts that result will then be weaved into a tapestry by 
work-shoppers as
the first performance of the soon-to-be famous Montreal Genetic Laptop 
Orchestra.
Workshop leader Cascone will then grace our ears with a solo laptop set!
